“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1
We are saved by faith, We walk by faith not by sight, But what is faith?

If faith is the essential element behind a relationship with God- then what does it entail? In Hebrews 11:6 we are told that “without faith it is impossible to please God, View full article »

The Covenant Maker

God's CovenantsGod, The Covenant Maker

This verse is part of what we call the Abrahamic covenant. God made various covenants with men at various times. God made a Covenant of works and then grace with Adam and Eve in the garden. When Noah came off the ark God made a covenant with him and then confirmed it by setting a rainbow in the clouds. God made a Covenant with Moses and all Israel on Mt. Sinai. On The Lord’s Day

The Lord's DayOn The Lord’s Day

The first day of the week was hallowed for the Christian by the resurrection of Jesus. On Easter we celebrate the resurrection in a special way. However, we celebrate the triumph of the resurrection every Sunday when we gather as Christians to remember and proclaim His victory over death. The Sabbath (7th day) was set apart by God at creation as a day to remember what He had done in 6 days. After He worked, He rested. For the Christian, we remember before we go to work. Life’s Steering Wheel

Life directionSteering Wheel

“Prayer is either the steering wheel of your life or your spare tire.”
– Corrie Ten Boom

Corrie Ten Boom, the author of the Hiding Place, suffered much at the hands of Nazi thugs. Imprisoned in the brutal SS concentration camps she lost her sister Betsy, and the rest of her family. Her Christian faith dictated that she be willing to sacrifice her life for the Jewish people, so she and her family were part of the network that sought to give a “Hiding place” to God’s covenant people. When discovered, they were punished and sent to the brutal camps. View full article »

AnticipationAnticipation

I know you’ve all been missing each other and the sweet fellowship we have in Christ. I was thinking of the old song: “Blessed be the tie that binds our hearts in Christian love.” I don’t think we realize how blessed that tie is until there is strain on the edges of our life. We pray you’re enduring this time of isolation by drawing closer to your family and having sweet times of fun as well as times of Christian growth. View full article »
