“The crooked places shall be made straight and the rough places smooth.” Isaiah 40:4b
It never ceases to amaze me how God leads and sustains even in tough times. Our stay in Arizona has been rough but God has smoothed out many of the long stretches. The Mayo has been a blessing to work with and I can see why they have such a great reputation. We will be here for at least another week as they assess biopsies and fine tune treatment. They already have me doing better with the changes they have made.
The Lord provided a wonderful bunkhouse on the ranch of a friend for us to stay at- so we thank Him for the provision for our housing needs. A short story for you- I am very impressed with the doctor’s here- they operate with great kindness, patient centered care and Humility.
On Wednesday a team of doctors were in to look at me and do biopsies. It had been a tough day and I was in much pain. The head doctor of the department noticed. I was laying on a gurney- He took a box of tissues, knelt in front of me, sympathized with me in my pain and told me how sorry he was. I in turn was able to briefly testify to Him of God’s grace to me and my family in this time and to thank him for His goodness as well as the kindness of the Mayo to look at me. It was a moment I’ll never forget.
Love you all and look forward to being restored back to you. Like Jeremiah of old “the Word of the Lord is like fire in my bones” and I long to be back to share His Word and be with you soon.
