the-shackMolehills out of mountains

This popular book, The Shack, is going round and round as a must-read Christian book block buster but is it something Christians should be reading and promoting to others?

Wait… your not going to make another mountain out of a molehill are you!? After all, we have some high profile Christian celebrities like singer/songwriter Michel W. Smith endorsing the book to all Christians.

Christian, christian, christian…   Do you think that if you say or use the term enough times it will somehow change something that is faults into something true? It is a well known fact (to politicians, social media engineers and TV evangelists) that if a lie is told enough times, people will believe it!

Remember The Da Vinci Code? How many well intentioned albeit, naive Christians got caught up in that money making campaign for Dan Brown? More importantly, how many lost souls are no closer to the truth of the gospel due to its promotion by the media and undiscerning Christians?

There are many rebuttals on the web of The Shack written by just about every competent, discerning Christian leader, allow me to suggest just one place that should give enough information to at least raise some red flags for you “theshackheresy.com“.

Beloved, become like the Bereans who searched the scriptures daily and judge everything by them, not the other way around.

“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.” ~Colossians 2:8

“so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes.” ~Ephesians 4:14
