Thankful
There are many, many things I have to be thankful for.
When I sit and “count my blessings name them one by one”, I am overwhelmed at God’s goodness and grace on my behalf.
“And we also thank God constantly for this, that when you received the Word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted not as the word of men, but as what it really is, the Word of God, which is at work in you believers.” I Thessalonians 2:13
One of the things that I am constantly grateful for is the way you at EBC respond to God’s Word. I am blessed to see a hunger and appreciation for God’s Word. I see an eagerness to submit to it, a willingness to be transformed by it and a desire to know it better.
In His Word, God tells us that His Word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. God has given us direction to live in these dark days that we find ourselves in. His Word illumines our path and cheers our walk. Be careful to fill your mind with God’s Word. Be diligent to commit it to memory and allow the Spirit to bring it to life in your daily walk.
I am thankful for so many things. But for this I am doubly blessed, a church that Loves God, Loves people and seeks to submit to God’s Word.
