Red AntsArmy of soldiers

In my youth I was fascinated with insects and still marvel at God’s creation today.
We lived out west in an area where earth mounds of red ants were a common sight.
Observing how they went about the tasks of building, feeding and protecting their growing nests became one of my favorite summer pastimes.

I was especially interested in the way they would move, as it were with one social mind and group to quickly dispatch any intruding insect that had the misfortune of wondering onto their territory.

Once scouts identified an enemy there was an invisible and immediate call that went out to the nest from which hordes of soldier and worker ants alike would converge onto the prey to immobilize it.

I would watch as mobs of ants would scurry to sting and latch onto any weak or soft area of the intruder’s body armor and begin digging and squeezing, twisting and pulling until parts started coming off that were dragged into the nest for food and fodder.

I don’t get out to observe many red ant hills today but I have noticed a similar behavior within social groups that is just as effective and organized at building and protecting their “social” hills.
For the ill equipped person who wonders into their social or political territory the results can be very similar to what I use to observe in my backyard growing up.

Whether engaging radical environmentalism, homosexual and same-sex marriage activist, pro-abortion or Socialistic American movements, preparation for battle is paramount!

The believer following Christ our commander into today’s digital and social-political arenas of enemy territory must be equipped and well prepared with God’s Word and prayer as well as informed of the subject matter and the enemy’s tactics in order not to become a casualty that adds ammunition to the opposition’s war machine.

The battle for our faith, families and freedom is a worthy battle that we must not forsake, for Christ’s sake.
