Distracted from the Real Battle
The Radical Left camel’s nose, head, and neck are now inside the tent and it would do well for Christians to refer to chapter 10 of Matthew as we persevere as sojourners in a country not our own.
As true believers we are to exercise biblical discernment and bring all things (including our political views and individual support) under the Lordship of Christ.
I believe that as faithful Christians we will engage the world through every platform the Lord provides. The question is not “If” the Christian is to engage the world through politics but “How”.
We need to realize that today’s political arena is first of all a worldly system fraught with obvious antichrists but then also to remember that Wolfs in sheepskins have been planted to distract, divide, and destroy.
The worst personal and national mistake a Christian could make right now would be to engage as the world engages using worldly reasoning and weapons and the strength of the flesh.
“This charge I entrust to you, Timothy, my child, in accordance with the prophecies previously made about you, that by them you may wage the good warfare, holding faith and a good conscience. By rejecting this, some have made shipwreck of their faith,” ~ 1 Timothy 1:18, 19.
We must remember that the national battle is the Lord’s and cannot be won battling head to head with the enemy on his terms. We are called with a higher calling that will require selfless courage and sacrifice and prayer.
