Whosoever wills can come!

“For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him
should not perish but have eternal life.” 1 John 3:16

To feel loved is perhaps the deepest longing of the human heart. When family and friends, or peers and churches hang a scarlet letter around someone’s neck and say that that person is unlovable, there is perhaps no quicker way to get on the road to despair. To love is the greatest virtue- to offer love is the greatest gift.

In this verse, we have the greatest pronouncement in all of Scripture. Despite our sins and failures, the God who made us not only loves us, He provided a way for us to know Him eternally.
In His conversation with Nicodemus, A religious leader of the day; Jesus announces that God’s coming- the nativity- was for everyone- not just the religious and pious, it was for the sinner and failure. Whosoever wills can come!

That is an amazing reality! Despite knowing everything about us; God not only eternally loved us, He provided a way of salvation for us.
If you are reading this today and unsure of your standing before Him- don’t wait, ask Him to be your Savior now – No other gift at Christmas can compare.

Because of Grace,
Tim
