Behind Every Testimony

“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.  So let endurance have its perfecting work, so that you may be completely mature, lacking nothing.”  James 1:2-4

The other day in our devotional time, Amie and I read that statement. It is definitely the truth! Before we can testify of the reality of God’s grace, we must first experience His grace to sustain and comfort us in times of trial.

Life is a maturing process. It will not be until we see Christ that we are completely perfected. However, in the meantime, God is working a process in each of us to refine and mold us into conformity to the image of His Son (Rom. 8:29).

No matter what the Lord may be bringing your way to try and test you- see beyond the trial the hand of a Loving Father who is correcting and training to make us more useful for His kingdom and His glory. Look not on things below- but things above, where Christ is- seated at the right Hand of the Father.

Because of grace
