The Character of God

As we study the Character of God this summer, I also want to introduce you to some of the early church creeds that formulated some of the basic tenets of the Christian faith.

These Creeds do not hold the same authority as sacred Scripture but they give us a good overview of the major beliefs of the Orthodox faith as well as help us understand some of the major battles that were fought in early church history to come to grips with what is truth. View full article »

Generic Parenting

“There is no such thing as generic “parenting”. There is mothering and there is fathering, and children do best with both. While many mothers and fathers have raised children alone out of necessity, and have done so successfully, it remains true that mothers and fathers bring different strengths to the task… these differences are not the results of gender Stereotypes.
