Remodeling Update

Hallelujah! Steps 1 and 2 are now about done! Looking Back over the year we are grateful for how much the Lord has allowed us to accomplish around our property.  In the last year we have been able to build a new shop/garage as well as purchase a replacement vehicle for our old suburban. We have also finished steps 1 and 2 of our remodel. Before taking step 3 (recarpeting the sanctuary) we will need raise some additional funds. Later this summer we will be presenting a bid for the completion of that step to you. If you would like to give towards that project, we would encourage you to do so. Again, we want to thank all of you who donated time and energy to help us accomplish this goal.

Now that our Library is almost completed, we would like to unveil some new plans in its use. Rather than just being a repository for used books; we would like to begin to have a reference library for personal study. We plan to purchase a computer Bible study program as well as have a reference section in the library. On the resource center in the foyer is a clipboard with a list and price of some books we would like to purchase to put in the library. If you would like to purchase one, please sign your name on the sheet and designate the appropriate money in the offering and we will make the order. Also, if you have some reference works by trusted authors that you would like to donate- please drop them off in Pastor Tim’s office.

Because of grace,
Tim

It not only deals with the actual temptations as recorded in Scripture, it also conjectures as to what other temptations Jesus might have faced. View full article »

Camels NoseDistracted from the Real Battle

The Radical Left camel’s nose, head, and neck are now inside the tent and it would do well for Christians to refer to chapter 10 of Matthew as we persevere as sojourners in a country not our own.

As true believers we are to exercise biblical discernment and bring all things (including our political views and individual support) under the Lordship of Christ. View full article »

Sanctified Society

Teach ChildrenSanctified Society

The old Puritan, Thomas Manton encouraged father to consider: “will you beget children and keep families, merely for the world and for the flesh or will you bring up children for God and govern your family as a sanctified society?” Then he turned his thoughts to Mothers:

“Especially women should be careful to this duty, because as they are most about their children, and early and frequent opportunities to instruct View full article »

The Sabbath Principle

Sabbath-PrincipleSabbath Principle

Even a cursory reading of the Bible reveals what many have called “the Sabbath principle.” Repeatedly, God asks His people to set apart one day a week for Him.  In the Old Testament, the Jews recognized the seventh day of the week as their Sabbath.  Because the Lord was resurrected on the first day of the week; the Apostles and early believers began to meet on Sunday morning’s to commemorate that event.  Ever since, God’s people have View full article »
