My wife has a Jersey Cow that we milk for our families\u2019 milk that is named Honey. She is the most excessive mother I have ever seen. She tries to mother every animal that is born on our ranch. Sometimes I jokingly call her \u2018Eve\u2019 because she seems to be the mother of all living things!<\/p>\n

Anyway, this Mother\u2019s Day we want to honor all you Mother\u2019s for your efforts in raising the next generation to Love God and Love people and to be a blessing in this world and for all eternity.
\nI read a short thing by Ruth Bell Graham (Billy\u2019s wife) that I thought was excellent words of advice for all parents:<\/p>\n

Every parent should read at least one good book on dog training. Odd how, in a day when children are notoriously disobedient, dog training and obedience classes are increasing in popularity.
\nBasically the rules are simple:
\n1. Keep commands simple and to a minimum. One word to a command and always the same word. Come. Sit. Stay. Heel. Down. No. (I talk my children dizzy!).
\n2. Be consistent.
\n3. Be persistent. Never give a command without seeing it obeyed.
\n4. When the dog responds correctly praise him. (Not with food. Remember, don\u2019t reward children materially for doing well. Your praise is enough.)<\/p>\n

It is a fine kettle of fish when our dogs are better trained than our children.<\/p>\n
