Cultural Deformity

oscarsAs defined by Merriam-Webster

Culture: The customary beliefs, social forms, and material traits of a racial, religious, or social group; also: the characteristic features of everyday existence (as diversions or a way of life} shared by people in a place or time.

Deformity: A moral or aesthetic flaw or defect.

I read a very interesting article “The Comedy of Cultural Deformity” by Derrick Jeter, posted on The Black Sphere this week that puts these two terms together to describe the state of our culture today and thought it worthy to pass along, see if you don’t agree.
